Q: What is long-term care insurance?

A: Long-term care insurance is insurance coverage under a policy intended to cover long-term care expenses, including home care provided by a caretaker, nursing home or an assisted living facility.  Long-term care insurance can be prohibitively expensive, or it may save you money in comparison to increasingly high costs of long-term care.  Your elder law attorney can assist you in determining whether the purchase of such insurance is worthwhile and beneficial to your unique financial and personal circumstances.
